Who Knew

Who knew? With the triumph of good over evil, With me making a deal with the devil. With the goddess of colour in our favour, WHO KNEW it would cause our strings of heart to defrost in flavour. Seeing him made my heart skip a beat, And gave my eyes a sugary treat. Didn’t really think would ever see him again, WHO KNEW destiny had it’s way with my brain just chained. That night my ‘gram pinged, And like a lovesick fool I blinked. WHO KNEW there started the story of my first love, But ,like Cinderella, the clock turned twelve and off came the pretty gloves. We had our share of ups and down; the pretty basic setup, But never for once did I give up. Held onto it, for it was the greatest thing that happened to me, my first love; just so epic, WHO KNEW my favourite drug would give me the worst trip.
