I hold the tears
that have fallen on my journey
I am old and the years have quickly passed
an adventurous life
filled with people and places from around the world
and found that no matter where...people are the same
whenever there is goodwill
when finding warmth and compassion we all can share
I am the breath
that wafts through this journey called life
and have weathered the storms that often come
each year I grow older
and find memories are a river to drink from
yet, not a place to swim with shadows or drown in
rather quench my thirst and move on
as my journey is one I share though take alone
