Who Can I Trust

The left hand doesn’t know What the right hand is doing Beware it may hold a knife And stab you in the back Jan Allison 27th November 2014

The left hand is paralysed But it can see the Braile Certainly My right hand is deaf I can play the drums But I can sing with my soul. But where I know your song from?

Hi Jan, late as it maybe, reading your poem brings home how it hurts the most when betrayed by the person you trust most. I feel your poem! So, we learn to "be wise like a serpent, but gentle as a dove" (Mat.10:16 NIV) 7 and hugs! Kim Patrice :)

I have been there Jan, but I have learned in life that no matter how many times you get knock down, you have to get up. There are times we may going nowhere, but somehow something unfolds before us. We may not recognize it at first or it may not be what we expect...Smiles for you. Thank You :)

Hi Jan, This is a deliciously dark poem. Love it! Thank you for reminding us that the knife is not simply a tool; (sometimes used to carve the turkey) but also a weapon. So utilitarian... I'm sure this probably has a deeper darker side to it. I pray that people are not being bad with you. I really stopped by to congratulate you on your #8 placement in the over all contest winners category. We both know you got cheated out of some contests entries. Have a great week end. Earl

Earl thank you for your lovely words my friend - Guess I am able to express my emotions through my poems which is great stress to me at the moment .... contests - a win is great but if I don't get placed hey ho as long as others enjoy my work and the poem gets read then that's a win in my book! Oh Jan my dear sweet friend it makes me really so sad reading this very sad poem. Been there a few months ago I got stabbed in the heart and back like never thought in my life could be by someone I really trusted with all my heart and my very life too everything I held so dear back then with this person I loved and trusted so dear more than life maybe then. This person really broke my heart, almost destroyed me in all back then and now recovering slow but sure. Praying for you sweetie. You'll recover it takes time sometimes a lot. Be very strong you'll need it betrayal of any form or anyone is terrible. :) Love and hugs! xxx D.

I believe you are correct about the left and right hand . . . but I also believe that the heart does . . . I am hoping this is enough for you to survive any wounds you may receive. hugs
