Who Am I

"Understanding yourself is the onset of all insight." When you wisely witness your worth, you wield wonderful power. When you welcome who you are, you become unbeatable. By Poet
                           ________________________

              In shifting sands,
I explore the depths of my world
where whispers linger like ghosts in the night
        and the shattered mirror
reflects my inner self, puzzling parts of my soul
revealing my flaws, and the scarce grace of my bile
with fierce faith and moral courage
I strive to be a truth model, in my shared life.

              I grasp splendor
near me, as I grow and reach light
      yet, anger lingers, quietly looming
        my heart remains mindful
recognizing ghosts that hover in the shadows
with positive steps, I plow my path carefully
word choice, form, frame, and warmth matter
and each breath I take adds to my inner brightness.

This self introspection and analysis help us find out our flaws. No one is perfect. The willingness to admit it is the first step towards betterment. In us, there is a constant struggle between good and evil. Despite the shadows that veil our inner light, we can come to bright light if we will. Your journey towards self fulfillment and growth is so beautifully and sincerely delineated. As ever, excellent word choice and powerful thoughts. All the best. dear friend.

This is a worthy attempt for the Constance contest. I feel it is beyond me, especially since my muse is at a low ebb. You did very well. Best for high placement.

Hey Sotto, your poem captures the nuanced journey of self-exploration and personal growth, highlighting the tension between light and dark within the self. Through rich imagery and reflective language, it conveys both the struggles of confronting personal flaws and the hope and determination needed to overcome them. The emphasis on mindfulness, careful expression, and inner brightness offers a powerful message of resilience, showing that despite the shadows we may face, there is always the potential to step toward light and growth.

Dear sotto, what a deeply moving and heartfelt poem woven with such sublime rhymes and flow of words in such a seamless manner, i love especially “ I chase the light, yet I'm afraid of the weight. Wrath watches calmly adorned with height.” i think many can resonate with that , especially, we seek light but fear still gets in the way of what may be heavy and dark, youv done it well and used also a quote that is very powerful! I think this will do well, best wishes, sending you light
