Who am I

We feel alive and that’s the only thing we truly know. Identified with form, we believe we’re only this body-mind. Those who dwell in the void however, have become God’s light.

Very well-crafted sijo here. I have no idea how to get myself to dwell in the void, but I know by now this is something you know a lot about and it makes a great sijo twist at the end. Congrats.

Once we choose to slow down thought, word and action, mindfulness takes us into silence, poised between duality and singularity. The day ego-identity drops, we see directly, the truth of being.

I just found this: A contrite heart or spirit is when a person’s inner man or will has been broken so they no longer run after the things they want but surrender to the things that God wants. A broken heart or will says I will no longer do this my way or on my terms, but I will surrender to your ways. GL in the contest, US!

Oh what a deep sijo this is, really soul-moving with thought-provoking lines.. Especially that last one conveys immense volume about spirituality and recognising one's own essence of existence.. Brilliantly crafted.. We are not only alive, but living for a higher purpose, so beautifully you've expressed that!

Thank you, Hiya. Yes, recognition is the key, when we see directly, rather than building thought constructs based on belief or imagination. To seek as such, we must dwell in silence.
