WHISPERED FLAME
[Verse 1]
I’ve seen you sitting here, like you’ve done before
Always leave me wanting, still craving more
But never quite like this—lamp glow on your face
You don’t feel like Earthlight—you’re out of place
[Pre-Chorus]
I come here to write, to chase down the muse
But every word I find gets tangled in you
[Chorus]
Lines in the moonlight, dancing on your skin
Pulling me closer—don’t know where I end or you begin
You smile like a secret, a spark I can’t define
I thought I came to write—
But darling, you just rewrote mine
[Verse 2]
You said, “Let’s trade dreams”—I said, “I’ve got a few”
Your voice like a lyric I almost knew
You opened your journal, I leaned in slow
Two hearts tracing verses the stars used to know
[Pre-Chorus]
The night wrapped around us, the silence was deep
I reached for your hand—time fell asleep
[Chorus]
Lines in the moonlight, dancing on your skin
Pulling me closer—don’t know where I end or you begin
You smile like a secret, a spark I can’t define
I thought I came to write—
But darling, you just rewrote mine
[Bridge]
Are you even real, or just a whispered flame?
A dream I keep chasing but can’t quite name
Maybe you’re the story I was born to tell
Or just a fleeting ghost I knew too well
[Final Chorus]
Lines in the moonlight, still burned in my mind
Even if you vanish with the morning light, I’ll find—
Your smile in the silence, your voice in each line
I thought I came to write—
But darling, you just rewrote mine
[Outro]
Yeah, I thought I came to write…
But you were always the rhyme
