While Most Kids Premiere Contest Winner

While most kids enjoy their box of toys My pride is a treasure trove of words I love to admire, touch and fondle them I play with their different finishes Some are soft and shiny, some are dull I prefer the ones that are translucent The pearly ones are wonderful Some are precious and semi-precious Some are hurtful, others soothing Some imprison, others liberate Some words are dense and cold While others as gentle as a whisper Some reflect elation and infinity My treasure trove of words is bottomless Playful princess proudly wearing my tiara Wealthy beyond imagination Published in my 24-page photo/anthology ~A POEM BORN~ 2020 AP: Honorable Mention 2020 Submitted on January 31, 2018 for contest QUIRKS sponsored by MADISON DEMETROS - RANKED 1ST

I enjoyed your take on the 'quirks' theme, Line. Talk about a princess wearing a tiara...you truly are one now, having placed first:) Congratulations. Regards // paul

Line Gauthier: Ever precocious, ever developing and redeveloping her sense of wonder, awe, and appreciation. Ever curious, ever innovating, she has retained her childlike curiosity into mature adulthood---the kind of 'retention' which educators the world over should be concerned with and promoting. A well-deserved win for a wealthy-word-winner! Best always, Gershon

An amazing write. I remember as learning or hearing new words as a child and thinking, "Oh I like that word," or even telling people I like that word. Congratulations on your wonderful win.

Your poem takes us somewhere that is beyond our imagination too ... Next time if I need to write on this topic, this theme would be mine ... Obviously the theme only I will misappropriate ... Congratulations for the podium finish ...
