Which Came First
Who would argue
about which came first,
intelligent compositional design,
or a decomposing natural Earth?
No one.
To do so is too patently absurd,
when we choose to see these two
not only as oppositional cause-effect,
but also as appositional
dipolar co-arising balance
of resilient resonant information,
composing and recomposing
tacitly implied within decomposing energetic balance.
The very idea that either regenerating natural purpose
or degenerating spiritual meaning
could originally, foundationally, come one before the other,
like belonging before longing,
day before night,
contentment before decontextualization,
appears before feeling anti-ecological,
like choosing Win v Lose degenerative stasis
without Win+Win regenerative integrity
co-arising further multi-generational co-intelligence
Of daydream democratic rights
and nightmare autocratic wrongs.
