Where's the Peace We Used To Know

Violence all across the land Is something I don’t understand Murder, rape, child abuse There’s absolutely no excuse To hurt another on this earth What is all this torture worth Causing heartache everywhere People have to live in fear Children will never return While at school trying to learn Or a woman’s life in danger From a sexual offender The whole world should feel safe In every town and every place Why can’t all this violence cease Leaving a whole world of peace
