Where the Mind Goes
Where the mind goes, is anyone’s guess
It retreats, moves forward, to clean up mess
It rises, it sinks and it takes us for a ride
Or shuts us down, just wanting to hide
Today is today, tomorrow is brand new
Like the flip of a coin or the tie of a shoe
Consistent beliefs, are planted deep
Sometimes elate us or make us weep
The soul sings along, keep on going
To blossoms from seeds, you are sowing
Hold onto love, with every heartbeat
Then sit in contentment, take a seat
Sit with yourself, through all the throes
It is anyone’s guess, where the mind goes
