Where Do We Put the Money
The child asks, Where do we put the money?
In the slot, she tells him, for the tomatoes and the honey.
How will they know we paid enough? He asks her, worried now.
He is a trusting soul, she tells him, this honor system is a wow.
Why don’t all people use this system? The child asked his mother.
Because some people are not trustworthy, said the child’s brother.
It would be terrific if they were like this farmer from Alabama.
The world would be a terrific place then said the child’s grandma.
