Where Did She Go - An Impossible Task

He never believed in love at first sight! Spurious hogwash, or so he thought. Yet he felt a magnetic fascination, Seeing her alone, sipping a cool exotic drink, Dressed impeccably in local folklore attire. He was deeply attracted for she was The most beautiful woman he’d ever seen. He felt stirred by emotions supernal, Like a bee sucking nectar from every glamorous bloom. Nature unparalleled had a way to provoke him. Drinking at the bar, what was supposed to be One for the road, his next air flight. It was not to be. He cancelled his trip home. Back at the bar she was not to be seen. Ah luckless love, what devious tricks it plays On most poor mortals! Had she not smiled at him? Pierced his heart, provoked intoxication of love? In his exalted admiration of her, he vowed: He would never leave until she's found.

I don't know if I would have canceled my flight back for a person I'd met, but didn't communicate with.

How sad that his love got away! Perhaps one day he'll find her. Not likely, but there's always a chance. :)

How unlucky can a man be, when one sees a beautiful rose pick her before the beauty goes. Lovely poetry Victor… Belle

Sometimes we are looking for love in all the wrong places. I hope you find someone to love in the right place. Or it could be that you have love and this is just a poem about a situation in the past or someone else you know. I enjoyed reading it today. Your visit to my page was encouraging. Sara

She is watching him sweat playing hide and seek of love. A lovely story of love at first sight, Victor-- and perhaps love elusive if she never makes a grand entrance.
