Where Did I Go Wrong
Wondering what we said
Late last night in bed
Woke to a reminder
That now I can’t find her
Oh where did I go wrong, go wrong, go wrong

I go looking for answers
All I get is “I can’t sir”
Repeating the question
They offer suggestions
Of where I went wrong, went wrong, went wrong
Of where I went wrong, went wrong
Then at each gathering
There’s more than chattering
Of whispers and starring
At my lack of caring
“How could he?”
“Where is she?”
“The monster!”
“We found her!”
Now she’s telling her story
With deep allegory
Leaving no slight detail
Of the ways I failed
And where I went wrong, went wrong, went wrong
Of where I went wrong, went wrong
