Where Can I Find Healing?

Where can I find healing?
Tell me, where does it hide?
When death stalks and steals
When pain is surreal
When illness invades
When sorrow pervades
Where can I find healing?

Where can I find healing?
Tell me, where does it hide?
When friends are untrue
When robbed of one's due
When war ushers hell
When fear casts its spell
Where can I find healing?

Where can I find healing?
Tell me, where does it hide?
When passion turns cold
When honor is sold
When dreams slowly die
When wings can not fly
Where can I find healing?

Where can I find healing?
Tell me, where does it hide?
When faith fails to save
When faced with the grave
When prayers lose their way
When God's far away
Where can I find healing?
Tell me, where does it hide?

Tell me. Surely you know!
You live life with ease
You do as your please
You blossom and thrive
You don't have to strive
You don't shed a tear
You claim God is near
You do not feel pain
You see the inane
You don't pay the price
You smile, oh so nice.
It's easy for you
You know what to do

Where can I find healing?
Tell me, where does it hide?

Ah... yes...
It's buried...
It's buried deep inside.

Haven't been here in a while but I always look for you. This connected to me because of my mothers death 10 days ago. She's in a better place. It gives me time back so I can be here with you.

Dear Eileen, Congrats on POTD! The repetition of that question "where does it hide?" creates this mounting desperation that's real and raw. You cataloged everything: betrayal, illness, death, lost faith, dreams dying. The whole weight of it. Excellent POTD! Autumn Blessings, Dear Eileen, Daniel

Mother Teresa comes to mind as a poster child to answer these eternally provocative and exasperating queries. Action. Participation. Earnest seeking after God's Will. Personal Mission statement. Bomb diggity poem, EMG!!!

Even those that look like they're able to ' live life with ease, ' they feel pain too. They keep is hidden, deep inside. Healing is different for each individual. Finding the way may take time, or may be difficult. Sometimes, it's within the simplest of moments. Your thoughts are tender and emotional. Congratulations Eileen, on Poem of the Day. My best to you. Hugs, Brandy

You have hurled many heart piercing questions. I can fathom the depth of your helplessness and agony. Please know that there is a silver lining behind every dark cloud. Shake off your gloom and hold on to hope. As you realize at the end, the healing is within ourselves. A powerful poem, so poignant. Congratulations Eileen on your POTD

That's OK. We don't always know where we can find healing. Some show a facade of being fine. We all have struggles. I have more than my share, but I'm still trying to hold on. Big hugs and thanks.
