Where Broken Is Welcomed

Hidden within dark shadow Wishing for a loving touch Wanting yet hoping no one see's A need for something soothing Of feeling a gentleness Pain is all she knows, all she's lived Daily praying for what will not come Knowing her prayers will go unanswered Believing in only cruelty Savage she knew so very well cruel bastards she's had aplenty Time continues with or without her So why even try Why wish for the impossible She is a realist and knows she is too set in her ways for anything other than what she's ever known in life, PAIN Her need grows into one of wanting an ending An end to all that has pledged her To stop acting like she's not broken And just drift off into another realm Where broken is welcomed
This is just a poem please do not read into it what is not there!Maybe in a past life but not this one!;)

beautifully penned my friend....as writers much of what we write is fiction, shame you have to explain that...if people read mine and thought they were all about me i would be an anorexic suicidal train wreck, enjoyed this one, good write!

Your intimate poetic portrayal is a beautiful display of your raw emotional artistry, dear sister. I was held spellbound within the poignant magic of this piece. I continue to admire your precious talent, my dear sis. That last line is especially emotive and potent - love it! Your sane, but crazy for your poem, sis ;)

Wonderful write Brenda, sad to see that some people don't understand poetic expression is not always personal, but I get that sometimes it is personal and we would want others to reach out to us to encourage us. Back to the poem...written in a gritty style reflecting what one in that condition truly feels, a work of art!

You are so right! I get tired of others thinking it is about me! But as I said in another lifetime but not this one! I have found my happiness! Just a reflection on what once was! Thank you so very much John I so appreciate your kind words!;)
