Where Are All the Children

I asked myself today ? Where are all the Children ? For after all Have they not broken up for Easter Or am I sadly mistaken I seek them here I seek them there But nowhere are they to be seen It's like they vanished in a dream Or have not returned from the Witches Cupboard And why I ask shoud I be bothered If all they wish to do is play On Playstation and X.Boxes That is surely up to there Mother's It's the Grass and Tree's That I feel sorry for As they have no 1 left to play with The Park has become a refuse for Dog's to walk on And Tree's are for hanging leaves And for passing Birds to Sing on Thank the Lord for the Internet and Google As when Nature has been paved over In the not to distant future Children can look it up On a phone on computer screen When Virtual finally overtakes Reality

Again, such a thought provoked poem, which is absolutely true. And if not on a play station at home, in the malls texting each other where to meet (of course, in the mall)! Well penned Christopher, Poetry hugs, Jennifer.

Interesting thoughts. Some children still like to go outside and play. In answer to your question on my poem "Bougainvillea" my mother committed suicide when I was 15 months old. I do not remember her so I did not get to share life with her. I was adopted when I was 18 months old and had a good home. I was told years ago that she committed suicide but thought it was not true then I got a death certificate on her about two years ago. It stated the fact. I have had to deal with all the emotion. SK

I am speaking specifically about children in Liverpool or England. They don't seem to want to go outside and play anymore Sara. Sad children should be outside playing when they are young I think but what do i know . I am not a Kid anymore
