When Winter Comes, Remember Me

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

When Winter comes, remember me
beside you on those ivory sands
If frozen fingers reach for thee,
arise and fling aside her hands

As you awake on shortening days,
when Winter comes, remember me
We'll pray that Frost forsake his grays
and set arrays of color free

Light snow may fall so subtly,
bright notes on parchment sheer as sleet,
when Winter comes. Remember me,
that I might play each shimmering sheet

Short interlope of Summer gone,
I'm owed no scope of reverie
but hope you will, from this day on,
when Winter comes, remember me....

Hahaha! Kim, you're so funny. I see you as such a 'What is' thinker. Very literal, very here and now. Practical. I wonder what your actual personality type is... (I am an INTJ) Im talking about your Meyets-Briggs type. It's psychology, not voodoo! Please please please take the test and tell me what you are.... Pleeeeze....! The one I recommend is at *humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp*

There was no specific format but I've been working on writing longer poems so I thought I'd try a Quatran(?) No - QuaTERN. I thought I'd try a QuaTERN. Very challenging but really helps with the momentum of the write...

Hi my pretty little Poe! Um... this is for Shadow Hamilton's 'Seasonal' contest. It has to be about summer turning to autumn and has to include these words/phrases: Icy fingers, Hoar frost, light snow, wet days, shivering, abundant havest and shortening days
