When Will It End

You hurt me real bad, I got angry and mad. I, in turn, hurt you too. You were sad and blue. When will the cycle end? My fair-weather friend. That depends on you and l Why do I have a black eye? We have the power to break this cycle of heartache. Why shall we cause pain? We have a choice to abstain. Let's be better and do better, Not another dear John letter. Let's sow words that heal with a continuous zeal. Alexis Y. 03/22/2021

Good one Alexis. I wrote one under the same title a long time ago. Maybe I'll try to find it and repost it. Enjoyed this a bunch. Really good advice for people who are always at each other and don't really remember why. God Bless, JB

It takes two to tango. One bad reply and the relationship begins to sour. But all is not lost if you can find a mediator.

Ah, Alexis, my heart goes out to you. If you are in an abusive relationship, it isn't likely to change. Experience tells us that. Experience also tells us that many of those relationship end very badly! Do what you must do, and do it quickly! Thanks for sharing this in poetry. Your poem moved my heart!

It's a sad situation when a woman suffers abuse, Alexis. The last two lines are a wonderful solution. Hugs, Carolyn
