["When We Met" appeared in Cameo: The Magazine of Romantic Fiction, Vol. 1, No. 7, December 1980. It was reprinted in my "Ashes on the Snow," Createspace, 2010.]

The hint of love-mist in our eyes, my whispered hello, your perfumed sighs The fleeting moments when we met linger with me, Love, and yet Though fonder moments still we dare Those first remain the best we share.
