When War Knocks At Your Neighbor's Door

WHEN WAR KNOCKS AT YOUR NEIGHBOR’S DOOR
(Dedicated to the victims of the chemical weapons!)

When war knocks at your neighbor’s door
Do not play deaf and do not turn to the other side
Cause you might not hear the whistling bombs
Coming straight your home to find!

*Abominable and contemptible the chemical warfare is but conventional war is not a game either!
I keep writing on the subject because the danger is still out there. May God guide those in power to do the right thing!

you've managed to transcend the personal and provide words that many can identify with metaphorically.

My dear Demetrious, nice moral truth expressed in this poem. Artists are visionary people, we feel we express and we understand? how can we turn our backs to what is going on?

Yes, God's wisdom is needed BUT already God has endowed us with His wisdom, why humans don't use it? Thank you!

This is such a true write, and it flows straight from your heart my friend! It's sad when these things are happening in this world, but unfortunately there will always be war straight unto the end of time! I agree, it must be horrible to have a neighbor going through this, I don't know what that is like, I really don't know! I'll pray for you and for peace during this time! This is a glorious write Demetrios! I loved reading this amazing poem this morning! What a powerful piece, Great Work!!

My dear friend, how could I laugh when my neighbor is crying? How can I remain apathetic before my neighbor's devastation? Thank you for you visit!
