When Things Happen

Something absurdly amazing,
About the way things happen:
We plan for, and await events
But they arrive and we ask,
‘Was it worth the effort?’
Some other times, we wonder
how the unforeseen occur

When things happen,
They may appear,
forever to last
Or, we pray them to:
But perhaps it is true
That nothing forever lasts
Sometimes, may be transient;
Appear to be;
Or we desire them to

Either with good or bad memories,
Happenings may seem indelible;
Episodic or alternate
Or as a contrasting pair, come

But looking into reality,
They come only to pass
To pass and pass by
So it’s good, endurance to learn
And self-control
For we’ll have experiences
to be recounted as tales –
Always witness things;
forget about them;
And be amazed we did

Because the new will become old;
old will become obscure
and obscure will become history
Good for once upon a time

When things happen
They really don’t stay
They go miles far away
Although nostalgia,
Reminiscence
And their stimulant brethren
Could bring them back
From their odyssey
