When the Trumpet Blows

When the trumpet blows Animals take to the stage in turns Elephants dance themselves dry Like baobabs swayed by Harmattan Their fan-like ears flip flap As they shake their big bottoms Spelling danger to the ambitious When the trumpet blows Kingly animals take to the stage Lions gracefully shake their whiskers With paws and teeth as grinding metals They roar to rats, goats and antelopes "We are here to stay, dance and eat Cross the ribbon and be a bowl of salads"
