When Someone's Home
How fortunate is one who says
I know there’s someone home
Who knows that they are not alone
Wherever should they roam
To even have a home at all
To know its boundless love
Is worth the riches of a king
With nothing else above
How fortunate is one who has
Still with them to this day
The many who have meant so much
Much more than one can say
I’m sorry for the loves I’ve lost
For those who share my grief
Forsaken in an empty house
Sometimes in disbelief
And yet we all know someone’s home
Though this world they depart
The heavens for us all await
And therein lies our heart
