When She Is
When my mother is sad
I am depressed
when my mother is mad
I am furious
when she is stressed
and feeling down
I will cry right next to her
cause she is everything
that i've ever had
when she is feeling lonley
I will be there to hold her
and remind her of my presence
and as each day goes by
I began to understand her
struggle so much more
When my mother smiles
I jump for joy
Just like a little kid
receiving their first
christmas toy
Just being around her
fills and warms me
just like a cup of hot cocca
When she is anything
I am included
I love her so deeply
so whatever she is
I will try to sooth it
