When Santa Dropped By the Right House
I awake on this Christmas Day
With a warmth that never will stray
This is the time when we remember who was born
And was able to free us from our evil scorn.
Even know I never had a reason to hate
Since my positive attitude always got things straight.
Santa arrived at the door last night
Bearing wisdom about how to deal with this diplomatic might
He told me in a whisper
Use kind words instead of a two handed fister
For when the talk is calm
The dialogue can diffuse any type of conversational bomb
I responded to this one old wise man
That this is a unique way to take a stand
He continued his address
On how to make the enemy confess
There is only a short time to interact
Do not waste it on the verbal attack
End the visit with a reason
To find peace during the holiday season
Maybe apologize for what you did
To start the angry fit
Or offer forgiveness to those who matter
Letting it go before it gets any more tattered
And when everyone’s spirit is high
Tell of this wonderful Santa guy
He was here last night
Spreading joy with his magical light.
Filled with love and charm
Who only brings peace without any harm,
Listen to this wise man with gifts
Who gives us all these wonderful emotional lifts,
We will follow him wherever he goes
To make sure he never gives up that special glow.
My wife exclaimed Santa was here
And that was the signal to leave the bed and enjoy his cheer.
