When Moonlight

When Moonlight... When moonlight paints night silver and ivory light drips from leaves... When moonbeams glide on water's tides, a platinum kiss on midnight's cheek... When ebony skies sprinkle glitter on Claire de Lune's sleepy eyes... When moonglow flows like satin gilding night in pale shimmer... When moon stars blush in amber hush of star flung serenades... I embrace the mystic glaze then gaze transfixed into midsummer blue. 6-25-21 Contest: Bite Size Poem No. 9 Sponsor: Line Gauthier

A beautiful serenade, simply magnificent. I have it in my favs! I just told my husband, when I read poems like this, I don't even feel like a poet at all, this is so very beautiful. A master poets pen for sure.

BJ, thank you! Your gracious feedback is truly humbling. I am honored by your fav! Even though I have written poems and lyrics for a long time, I have learned so much from the poets and the contests here on the soup! All of you have inspired me and motivated me. And I would be remiss not to give credit and glory to the great Creator - source of endless inspiration! Sending you blessings of inspiration dear poetess!
