When It Comes My Time
When it comes my time
Please don't cry
Celebrate the life I had
Just say goodbye..
If I linger on
Give me the right to choose
An artificial life
Would give me the blues.
Don't interfere, just let me be
I have the right to die with dignity
To leave my loved ones would be a curse
To be their burden would be much worse.
If you believe in the Father, Holy Spirit and Son
Then you know my journey has just begun
Let me be on my way, just hold my hand
As I start my trip to the Promised Land.
When it comes my time
Please don't cry
Celebrate the life I had
Just say goodbye.
I believe each of us have the right to die with grace and dignity without
interference from government or any other bureaucratic agency.
