When I'M With You
I am handcuffed to your existence-
please throw away the key...
I embrace my decree and plea
as I refuse without resistance-
for you are the only one for me.
feed me your intellect,
I crave the knowledge your mind
carries without fear-
I adore the way we connect
as I save all the words you
professed as you held me near.
etch me at eventide so that my
silhouette may be a reflection of
the moonlight splendor-
catch me when I fall so that I
never forget the direction of
our love so tender.
for you are my intimate connection-
my true familiarity with affection.
when I'm with you...I'm home.
