When a Poet Is Discriminated

We're up high
High as the stars that twinkle brightly
So when we fall everyone sees us,
Humiliated
And ashamed.

Hey, we're just kids,
You always say it's nothin',
Can't you see us strugglin'
With the things you made us do, hey

We want acceptance
But it's just what the world won't give
No, not attention,
Can't you see we just want affection,
And not perfection,
For a good and better section,
We are just human,
We are like every one of you…

We can't always be who you think we'll be
We can't stand the life you've given to thee
No, we won't change for you, we play fair, you see,
We'll make our future, we are our own key.
