What Works
What Works!
My (art?) is not to compliment myself whenever I write rhymes!
And often I reveal a loss that I would leave behind.
I love to share with one like you who's stuck with me when times
Get rough, found answers tough, and life is less than kind!
But I do find my poetry can help me think things through,
And even muse, when voice is clear, still needs my strong right arm.
I've never known someone to pray, who God told what to do,
(Solutions wrapped with golden bows?) for all truth risks the farm!
Though His provisions do suffice, the path is still your own,
Your inborn talents God's device, to gird you for the fight.
If 'Mercy' is your compass friend, you'll surely find His throne
And feel His love till time finds rest, and day absolves the night!
