What Remains
What remains of you after nothing remains
is the fading image,
growing transient wings, flying away.
What remains of you after nothing remains
is the dissolving past,
making ephemeral stream, flowing away.
What remains of you after nothing remains
is the blazing future,
turning into hidden ashes, wafting away.
What remains of you after nothing remains
is the shrinking shadow,
floating on shapeless cloud, melting away.
What remains of you after nothing remains
is the crumbling time,
gathering dust on fallen leaves, rustling away.
What remains of you after nothing remains
is the filling footprints,
finding no ardent follower, waning away.
What remains of you after nothing remains
is the undying essence,
offering the supreme maker for taking away.
