What Next?
crying can give some relief
to a heart filled with grief
moaning and tears ease the pain
in our souls where sorrows are lain
mourning is sharing
in pain with the loss
weeping with tears
at boundaries we cannot cross
bewailing torment
the ultimate cost
agonys foul measure
for countless sins
newly remembered
nothing to place inside the void
no gold or silver could bring joy
humbled and broken
we beseech God
help us on this bitter
road we trod
