What Lives Dies

A little boy five years old, was given a rabbit kitten to hold. His daddy helped building a hutch. The boy and the rabbit loved each other so much. Now the little boy is six years old. Runs inside with tears in each eye, looked up to his father, asking him “Why?” It's only when your heart cries, your eyes go misty that you realize - what lives, dies. Eighteen years old; he's to drive on the road. Listen to your father son before you go, so when you drive you will arrive, at your destination and be alive. Boys being boys; late driving home. Been drinking beer and not on his own. A carefree thrill, is a carefree drive - he was the lucky one to survive. It's only when your heart cries, your eyes go misty that you realize - what lives, dies. Thirty years of living city life. A home in the suburbs and a beautiful wife. Far from childhood home and its memory. An old man he has not got the time to see; telephone rings, its STD. The old home town ‘Who could this be?’ What could be wrong? - His father’s gone. It's only when your heart cries, your eyes go misty that you realize - what lives, dies.

A sad but true tale. This life is but a short time in the scheme of things. How we live this life determines where we spend eternity. great job. God Bless, JB

G'day Rico … I believe everything dies, but then it becomes available for the living to keep surviving. Mother Nature provides beauty but also cruelty in the struggle of survival - Thanks again Rico - Lindsay
