What Its Like To Be Indifferent:
I am different
I am unique
I am special
I am the first man on the earth
History tried to re-write me out of the scripts
Year after year archaeologist
Discovers my bones
My treasures
My artifacts
I am not a slave
I was made in God's image
I am a King
My people once ruled the earth
Who am I
I am different
I am just a man
Like any other man
My ancestors were enslaved
Raped, abused, cursed
Ridicule, spat on, accused
Denied, robed and beaten
Who am I
I am the first
I am not an ape
Nor am I uncivilized
I am not ignorant
As many will make you believe
My heart is not cold
I am not a migrant
Nor am I a fool
When I walk
I am stared at
I am not scary
I am just a man with color
I am tall, lean, well built, intelligent
Invented, well spoken and not ashamed
I am indeed indifferent
My eyes are brown
My hair is wavy
My voice echoes
Through the caves
I was born to be a leader
My ancestors built a nation
We are an intelligent, peaceful race
I am the first
Yet mankind choose to enslave me
They brought me at a price
To work their farms
To build their empires
To fight against my own
They brain wash me
Now I fight alone
Who am I
I am the first
Created in Gods image
I am important
I am no longer
Going to stand on my own.
