What Is Beauty

“Beauty is skin deep...” – hmm...I guess
at times it is thus; but I have met beauty
seeming, through and through – and have
met beauty that was clearly skinless~a spirit
radiating, outshining all exterior gloss! So,
what is beauty? Keats thought it truth. I think,
it is just Beauty...needing no other definition
beyond its presence~that is all....

What is beauty, it is an idea to make fool ownself? Or as you say. I think it is state of mind. Sometimes construction sometimes destruction makes us happy. Lovey post to consider all. Thanks

Beauty comes from deep within the heart, and it shines on the outside. It is easy to see, "True Beauty." Your thoughts caress gently around me. ~ Brandy

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but so many struggle to see beyond the surface... as always your poems make me think..

Hello my friend; thank you. For sure, many of us are surface dwellers...physical sense people -- then people wonder why are they fooled and left heartbroken? -- so much of what we call special, can only be obtained intuitively. Not by reason, but by "The Science of Faith" -- it is a teachable science. There is no lasting love without faith. Just doesn't happen. When that Science is learned, obtained (lived), then you are able to develop the intuition that attracts all that is needed to become happy. Think of intuition as a spiritual magnet...capable of attracting what is needed -- and then revealing that knowledge to its possessor. Intuition, willing, faith--they are really part of the same. At least this has been my experience. What I believe for the little that may be worth.

Beauty cannot be confined or contained in a definition. It is much more than that. You are absolutely right, Joe !

Beauty encompasses so much that I do agree it is enough to just call it beauty. Have a happy St. Patrick’s Day my friend. Blessings xxoo

I was seated in church, the Priest walked up to me, speaking in a fine Irish Brouge: and what will your Confirmation name be, Joseph? (I had neglected to discuss this with my parents) -- I nervously looked at my Irish friend next to me~Patrick! Priest then asked Patrick, and you, young man -- Patrick looking perplexed toward me, Joseph! So I became, Joseph Patrick DiMino, and he became Patrick Joseph O'Reilly. True story. Off to get my six-pack of Killian's Irish Red: will dust off my Clancy Brothers' Album, and be all set. Thank you, Connie...and you also, have a beautiful St. Patrick's Day. Blessings! So many years ago, I could have Patrick's last name wrong. But close enough. It was a fine Irish name, that I am certain of.
