What If

For example: what if it
had not rained that day

you and I had not sought
shelter in the same cafe

perhaps we would never
have met~ a pot of coffee,
some pie, the hours flew
by; that spontaneous bet
(let's get married) turned
into a 40 year duet...

Not exactly all true here, but we are an odd couple in many ways, we had very little in common, and doubt that friends and family thought it would work out. Two crazy types.
