What Fascinates Me

My fascination excels each time sun descends, giving Earth a kiss. There is no poetry, not a Rhyme to tell of my reaction to bliss. Sun leaves a trailing, lest we forget her majesty, as dusk circles nigh. Her colors that glow--a special set dazzle even the wandering eye. From butterscotch to apricot skies, with amber, scarlet and ruby wine. As clouds don robes in a sunset's guise The moon even seems to pause its climb. Cascades of colors greet weary souls, each night, looking to a sunset sky. Glimpses of beauty as they unfold, around the ebb of Sun's phantom tide. Nature poems capture my heart and fascinate me most Ann. Your poem is exquisite in its colorful imagery in depicting hues of the glorious sun. I never tire of reading about the sun and moon. Congratulations on your HM in Jeff’s Premiere contest. This was stunning! Blessings xxoo

Ann - I have a marvellous view of the sunrise from my desk, and I don’t see the sunset much, but this drew me right there, and of course the colors and the interesting phenomenon of watching the sun as it disappears below the horizon. Well done! And thanks so much for entering!

Despite the pandemic, huge crowds still gather on Magic Island to watch the sun set; I suspect it is a prelude to a cuddle . . . Enjoyed! Aloha!

Aww, that's beautiful. And each day a new show. I'm not sure what the message is in a sunset, unless it's enjoy beauty for it quickly disappears. :)

You are so right, Ann. The sun is infinite in its warmth + regenerative glow. There's collective rejoicing in May sun. Be well. Brian

Yes, indeed. There is nothing so fascinating as watching the sun sink out of sight, knowing it is a sunrise on the other side. I, too, have written of this phenomenon. Beautiful!

If there's anything that causes awe, it must be the sunset and a new baby's smile.
