What Do You Want the Blood In My Veins
In the beginning I learned to give you love
It was heaven to me a gift from above
I gave you enough of me to only survive
But you needed more to really come alive
Every time I see you It always rains
What do you want the blood in my veins
My broken heart has left me great pains
What do you want the blood in my veins
I gave you everything and my soul strains
What do you want the blood in my veins
You took everything and nothing remains
What do you want the blood in my veins
Over time my giving made you shrug
You were addicted to me like a drug
It wasn't enough for you to care
So I gave you more but I didn't compare
Every time I see you It always rains
What do you want the blood in my veins
My broken heart has left me great pains
What do you want the blood in my veins
I gave you everything and my soul strains
What do you want the blood in my veins
You took everything and nothing remains
What do you want the blood in my veins
I gave you the very essence of my life
But it wasn't enough and caused you strife
I gave you the last of me with one final pour
Even though you were full you still wanted more
Every time I see you It always rains
What do you want the blood in my veins
My broken heart leaves me great pains
What do you want the blood in my veins
I gave you everything and my soul strains
What do you want the blood in my veins
You took everything and nothing remains
What did you get the very blood in my veins
