What Autumn Brings
Fireflies fade into darkness, their glow becoming dim.
Apple cider's spicy fragrance fills the air.
Children's laughter, sounds of happiness within.
Nature's fall landscape, vibrant color everywhere.
Days dawn fresh, bright and clear.
Light fades into dusk with a soft gray mist.
In a purple velvet sky, twinkling stars appear.
A lovely scene of diamonds upon amethyst.
Darkness comes early, the nights are cool
In front of a fire, becomes the place to be.
Red glowing embers, appear as a fiery jewel.
It is mesmerizing, a beautiful sight to see.
Time to acknowledge what this lovely season brings.
The tradition of gathering together is age-old.
To take the time to say thank you for so many things.
Nature's autumn, its own treasure of burnished gold.
