What a Hill! For Boys and Girls

One morning Teeny Ant crawled out of his hole. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, blinked them and rubbed them again. He didn't remember there being a big red hill outside of his hole. Now remember he was a very young ant. He decided he had better get about his chores, which meant he must bring in his share of the food for the community. He took a deep breath and began to climb the big red hill. He climbed and climbed. Soon he was to tired to go any farther so he lay down and took a short nap. When he awoke he began climbing again. At last he reached the top. Peeking over the edge he saw a big black stone. "Hurrah!" he cried. "I'll climb on that rock and take a rest before I start down the other side." Just as he was about to lay down the stone started to slip. He slipped and slid, zig zagging his way down the giant red hill. As he lay in a pile at the bottom of the big red hill Antone Ant came around the cornor. "Well, well what are you doing to my breakfast contribution?" he asked. "I was just going out to get my contribution. I didn't remember seeing this giant red hill before," he added. "Giant Red Hill!" laughed Antone Ant. "This is a piece of watermellon. I spent half of the night dragging it here." Yes boys and girls this is all true. You just heard the story of the first 'Giant Sled Ride' in history. The End
