What a Beautiful Mess
As I was walking on the sandy beach alone,
Singing all my sad songs in a deep tone,
On the phone talking to my cloned,
Who was in a bigger mess than me,
Not knowing who has the key,
What a beautiful mess I was in
What a beautiful mess I was in,
Trying to hold it all within,
I call out to God my friend,
Who said Christ has forgiven all my sins,
Not for me only, but for sisters, brothers, and kin,
Now I can find a heartbeat deep within my chest,
That God has brought me out of my mess,
What a beautiful mess I was in
As the Sun rises in the sky,
Like a new baby I open my eyes,
To see the work the Lord has done,
Now I can run strong in the wind,
Knowing my sins have been forgiven,
Now I can call those things that be not,
As though they were,
He did it for the people of old,
He does it for us today,
All my future unfolded,
What a beautiful mess I was in
