Oh! Sam, mistress of rhyme, the best all the time, even when the poem isn't a rhyme, it's still sublime! I love being swept up and away away to the Highland hills along with the sweet pooch.. The heather dreams and heart of this poem warmly touches my heart and my imagination, as I fall deeply for the charms of Westie Lore. I am ever enchanted by your gifted pen and mind, dear poetess, Congratulations on your excellent win in Eve's contest, my lovely friend. Love and hugs.. ~Susan

Love the Scottish whispers of highlands and heather. I lived there for half a year in 1990, and was able to get in touch with my family roots a bit. Would love to return. Best wishes in Eve's contest ~ John

Our families could have touched in the 1500's as George Buchannan, writer, was the tutor to Mary Queen of Scots. My ancestor Anthony Brown, 1st Viscount of Montague - was the chief mourner at her funeral! Ah, the Celtic saga of legends continues! Hence the Brighter Honor! And blessings!

Welll - here we go again! We are Cunnyngham (original Celtic spelling), Lindsey and, wait for it....Buchanan! The McCammons are a subclan of the Buchanans! The tartan beautiful full of gold, green and red! Blasting off with the "canon" sound of the Buchannan motto - Hence the Brighter Honor! And blessings, of course! Could we be extremely distant cousins?

The Watts are a subclan of the Buchanans. I wear my Buchanan tartan tie to church on St. Andrew's Day. What's your clan affiliation?

Thank you for your best wishes my friend. How blessed were you to spend that much time in Scotland - a place to visit on my bucket list if this virus will just get out of my way! What is your clan? Tom Cunningham and I share clan roots. Hope you are able to get back - that would be special. Harvest blessings to you!
