Spurning holy matrimony
Gangs canceled the ceremony
   Poor Tony fell with a thud
   His face covered with blood

Maria arrived seconds too late
Pure love turned now to hate
   Mourning her lover's death
   As he drew his last breath

Why, thank you Connie! … I loved the movie too. Having viewed it three times in the last three years (as part of a class I teach), I can state that it's still a huge winner after all these years. Somehow, it's not dated at all. It touches on universal emotions, instincts, and prejudices. :) gw
