Weird Science

The Large Hadron Collider was built deep beneath the Earth
to help reveal the secrets of the Universe's birth.
I'm not quite sure what benefits this expensive research brings
but I wish that they would give answers to more important things-
Like, when you're in a rush, why all the traffic lights are red,
why every night the missus takes up four-fifths of the bed.
If love has got no spikes or blades, why does it often hurt?
And how does boiled beetroot know you're wearing a white shirt?
So, Scientists, splitting a proton just to find what it unlocks,
maybe in the black hole you'll find a pile of my odd socks?

ViV, you are at the end of my list of favourites. Is it alphabetical? Anyway, just when I need a lift, you crack me up. Thank you.

It's been a problem all my life, Jean, I was last in the queue for school dinners, too. I was a stick insect for seventeen years. I am considering changing my name to Aaron A. Aardvark. Aaron x

Yes, Andrea, the 'Legend' one was long just to do an epic build up, before going silly. Not my usual style, I know. Thanks for popping by, hope you're ticketty-boo. Love 'n hugs, Viv x

Nah, I can't believe you have any odd socks, Linda- I bet yours are all paired up in the tubes from toilet rolls, to stop 'em escaping. Viv x

Very funny, Mr Viv. If sound can't travel through a vacuum why are they so loud? How can we trust atoms, when they make up everything? Love your sense of humor!

...not forgetting that on a roll of sellotape, the last half that you really need at the end is always brown paper. Now THAT needs sorting. Thanks for dropping by, Jan. Viv x
