Weight of wait

Cubs, Calves, Chicks, Foals,
Kittens, Puppies, Hatchlings, Fledglings
Wait for mother’s return, eagerly
They don’t hear the drum beats of mother
Mothers don’t hear the joy beats of young
Each day is wild celebration for them all.

Thank God, most are not, majority are true mothers showing, giving love to the their young. Putting that aside ... yours is such a lovely poem! Blessings. My queen had gone out to get mice for her 5 kitties, she didn't come back, was runover. That pain of kitties waiting for their mother, alert at every sound kills me to this day dear friend.
