Weep Some More, Milady

Was that a lone tear making its way down her aging cheek Had she let herself cry for those long decades she'd pent it all up deep inside her The dam burst forever, an ocean of tears Why? Why now? How come? Could it be she was secretly proud of that number seared into her arm For she'd had children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren She'd won the battles, she'd won the war Please weep some more milady Weep until the whole world weeps with thee

Wow, what brought shame, brings pride for the tribe thereafter…survival by providence. God knows, we are happy to have you here, Gershon!

Well, what can I say. The heroism of such ladies made it easy to write this one. Thank you for the appreciation, Michael.

At the time of trauma, there is no time for tears. This old lady was a very courageous survivor; I think she wept for many, not for herself alone. She was reminded of the horror every time she looked at her arm, knowing that she had won the battle thrust upon her and was rightfully proud of that fact. Her tears were also tears of thanks for the life she had and has now. Beautiful

Thank you for the appreciation on this one, Shirley. There truly have been very many special, special ladies who picked up their shattered bodies and souls, then continued living from strength to strength. May they always inspire us. Peace, Gershon
