Wedding Card
WEDDING CARD
Haply door-bell rang ‘Ding-Dong-Ding’,
as if cuckoo started to sing.
Three years- old son never takes rest,
always ready to welcome guest.
Promptly he opened door to greet.
Courier boy at gate to meet.
Delivered by courier-boy,
Big packet seemed to him a toy.
Child too eager as he was told
By Mom: ‘Packet might get unfold.’
Bunch of nice cards, so surprising!
Came from press for uncle’s wedding.
Child rejoiced! “Ceremony!
Mom! Excellent. Cards so many!
For only one wedding, indeed,
Lots of cards why does uncle need?
Wedding ceremony, I love.
So enjoyable to observe.
So beautiful, gorgeous!
Wishing wedding for all of us.
So many cards are now in hand.
We will use, try to understand.
Me, Dad, you are still unmarried.
We need cards for functions to wed.”
