We Will Show Our Love

“We are on in the spirit, we are one in the Lord, and we pray that all unity May one day be restored” - from the hymn They Will Know We are Christians by Our love Written by Father Peter Scholtes in the 1960’s. We will show our love to everyone, not just our favorites We will appeal to the small and the big, the old and the toddlers We will include everyone – no matter what beliefs or affiliations. We will pick up every lamb we can, appealing to them by their interests. We will learn about them and listen to them, and uplift them. If they are fearful or shy or ignorant or go another route We will leave the invitation open, leaving them with a loving feeling Letting them know that it is never too late, we will be around the corner. They can catch up and they will be welcome like prodigal sons and daughters. We will show them by our love that we plan to love them no matter what Unconditional love is what is going to take to unite us Let’s go out and love everyone we can Listen to them first. For we cannot be understood unless we are willing to understand. God is on our side. He will show us the way. After all, His love is unconditional isn’t it?
