We Were Sure It Should
We Were Sure It Should
Wind chimes both together continued to bang
And such an unusual song they sang and sang
Making them mellow and pleasant to my mind
Plus with a positive attitude of nice and kind.
While the wild wind was blowing everywhere
To walk out in it, I certainly never did dare
Frustration and fear had been looking for me
What if I were to be hit by a falling tree?
Bold birds and animals no longer are around
For safer and higher country they have bound
Only thing left you hear is the howling wind
And whatever else our great God did intend.
Wind was combined with sky full of dark clouds
Covering earth's surface encased with shrouds
Storm was upgraded and clouds faded into gray
I found it pleasing when they finally went away.
Hope bad weather becomes what we can bare
Full of love, appreciation and handled with care
Enjoyed while wild storm we recently withstood
Vanished forever like we were sure it should.
