We the People

We the people voted politicians into the government
We deserve to hear the president’s annual State of the Union speech!
We deserve to hear the president's thoughts and intentions
Especially at a critical time of Government Shutdown, as it is
To think someone can order for this to be stopped is unbelievable!
It is time to speak wherever we can, to voice our opinions
Regardless of the division, we must stand strong for our rights
Hold onto hope that positive differences can and will be made
If we pay attention, take positive action, let our voices be heard
               	   -   And never give up!    -
                       God Bless America!

P.S. Awtry January 24, 2019 at 12:56 PM like you Heidi I didn't know this was a possibility... In fact I thought the President had a constitutional obligation to report on the state of our union.
